- The tour begins with the pick-up of the visitor from the door of their hotel in the city of Cusco at 5 am. Then, aboard a tourist transport you travel to the Wánchaq station where the almost 2-hour trip to the Ollantaytambo station begins. The trip will be on the Expedition train. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a transfer will take you to the guide who will be waiting at the entrance to Machu Picchu. The final 30-minute journey to Machu Picchu takes place in the town of Aguas Calientes. The tour of the Inca citadel is accompanied by our private guide for two hours and a half. The return journey follows the same route. The tour concludes at approximately 9:00 p.m.

Itinerary
- The tour begins with the pick-up of the tourist from the door of their hotel in the city of Cusco at approximately 5 in the morning.
- Aboard a tourist transport we will travel to the Wánchaq station in the historic center of Cusco. There we will board the Peru Rail Bimodal bus that in a trip of almost 2 hours takes us to the Ollantaytambo train station.
- At this station we have a little free time for last minute shopping or simply enjoying a coffee and snacks. The train included is the Peru Rail Expedition service that takes us to the Aguas Calientes train station in approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.
- In the town of Machu Picchu (also known as Aguas Calientes), the guide will drive us for less than 5 minutes to the bus station in the center of town. Before boarding the bus, there’s an average 10-minute line. Then, we board the Consettur bus, which takes us on a 30-minute ride to the entrance gate of the Machu Picchu archaeological site, where our private guide will be waiting for us.
- The private tour guide will enter with the tourists to the Inca citadel where circuit 2, the most recommended, will take place. This circuit includes a visit to the main Inca temples, such as: the Temple of the Sun, the Main Temple, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, the water sources, the agricultural sector and more. This circuit allows you to get the photo most requested by visitors from the Guardian House sector.
- After a sightseeing tour of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, we will bid farewell to the private tour guide, who will indicate our expected arrival time at the train station. Afterward, we will board the Consettur bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes. If you booked the buffet lunch, you should remain at the Machu Picchu exit gate and walk a few steps to the dining room of the 5-star Sanctuary Lodge. There, you will enjoy one of the best buffets in Cusco.
- After returning to the town of Aguas Calientes, visitors can choose their preferred restaurant and have free time. Lunch is not included in the tour. The train departs on time, so it’s recommended to be punctual.
- The return trip is by Peru Rail Expedition tourist train. Optionally, you can book a return trip on the Vistadome upper train, which includes a dance show and an alpaca clothing fashion show. In Ollantaytambo we transfer to a bus that, in 2 hours, will take us to the city of Cusco.
- At the Wánchaq station, visitors will board a tourist shuttle that will take them to their hotel in Cusco. The tour ends at approximately 9 p.m.
