This document regulates the conditions of purchase of the electronic ticket to enter the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on the web portal machupicchuterra.com.

General
- This document is of a contract nature.
- The Client, when taking the services of Machu Picchu Terra, accepts the present terms and conditions.
- No other agent to MACHU PICCHU TERRA, has the ability to modify, restrict or extend the terms of this contract.
Actors
- MACHU PICCHU TERRA. Brand and virtual platform of MACHU PICCHU TERRA SRL, Travel and Tourism Agency; Intermediary entity for the acquisition of the electronic Ticket to enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu. Authorized by the Ministry of Culture of Peru with registration MA0473.
- CLIENT. Natural or legal person who takes the services of Ticket Machu Picchu for the acquisition of the Electronic Ticket to enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
Conditions of service
- The Machu Picchu Terra web portal (machupicchuterra.com) allows the virtual acquisition of the Electronic Ticket to enter the citadel of Machu Picchu from anywhere in the world.
- The Electronic Ticket issued only allows entry to the Inca city of Machu Picchu and/or one of its mountains, depending on the type of ticket purchased. Does not include any type of transport or guide service.
- Machu Picchu Terra, will deploy its best efforts to keep you informed and meet the Client’s requirements with the greatest possible security and efficiency.
- The virtual platform of Machu Picchu Terra provides various means of contact to maintain adequate communication with the Client.
- Machu Picchu Terra on its web platform, in the Tips section, contains a large amount of very useful information for the Client about our service, about Machu Picchu and about the Entrance Ticket to Machu Picchu.
About the purchase process
- The Client can use the virtual platform of Ticket Machu Picchu from anywhere in the world to make their reservation via the internet.
- To make the purchase of the Machu Picchu ticket, it is imperative that the Client manage an email, which will receive the reservation format, payment invoice and entrance tickets in digital format. In addition, email is the main means to clarify queries and resolve any conflict that may arise.
- To carry out the purchase process, the Client must first verify on our website the availability of quotas for the date you want to enter the city of Machu Picchu, once the availability is verified, you proceed to fill out the reservation form, this allows you to make the reservation of up to 5 users; if there are more than 5 users, more than one form must be filled out. When filling out the form, one of the ticket types will be chosen, enter an email, choose the date you want to enter Machu Picchu and carefully fill in the personal data of each of the users who enter Machu Picchu.
- To complete the required fields of the reservation form, the Client must do so with the data that appears on some official and valid identification document of their place of origin, for example: Passport, DNI, personal identification documents, meat of foreigners, etc.. When entering the citadel of Machu Picchu, you must carry the document with which you make the reservation, since the data of your identification document will be compared with those of the ticket issued.
- Once the reservation has been sent, the information is verified and a payment format will be generated, depending on the payment method chosen. Once the client has made the payment for the entire amount issued, Machu Picchu Terra will proceed to purchase the Entrance Ticket to Machu Picchu; this process takes approximately 24 hours. The entry ticket in digital format will be sent to the Client at the email address provided. Thus ending the purchase process.
- The Client to enter the Inca city of Machu Picchu should only print the entry ticket and present it along with their identification document at the access door.
Payment conditions
- Machu Picchu Terra, being an intermediary agent, charges a commission on the base price of the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu that you are acquiring. This commission is already included in our published prices.
- The Client can make the payment of his reservation through the following ways: PAYPAL payment system, money transfer by WESTERN UNION, money transfer by SKRILL account, bank deposit through Banco de Crédito del Perú, bank deposit through Banco of America – USA (only for business accounts).
- Payment must be made 100% during the next 3 hours, after the invoice or payment order is issued (this will be sent to your email).

Ticket issuance
- Once the payment is made, in the following 24 hours, the Electronic Ticket to enter Machu Picchu will be sent to the Client ; to the email that this provided at the time of the reservation.
- Once the Client has received his Electronic Ticket, he must verify that the data (date of visit, names, passport number or identity document, etc.) are correct.
- The Electronic Tickets of the reservations generated on Saturday and Sunday, will be sent to the Client next Monday.
- In case of loss of your physical ticket, Machu Picchu Terra may issue the Client a duplicate Zero Cost for the only time.
About data changes and modifications
- Machu Picchu Terra only makes changes and/or modifications to the tickets purchased on our platform.
- The modification of data is requested with a minimum anticipation of 72 hours before the date of entry to Machu Picchu.
- To make changes and/or modifications of data such as: names, number and type of identity documents, and date of entry; a penalty must be paid, as applicable:
- Penalty of 35%, if the request is submitted 3 – 5 days before the date of admission.
- Penalty of 20%, if the application is submitted 6 – 10 days before the date of admission.
- Penalty of 10%, if the request is submitted from 11 days to more, before the date of admission.
Note: The change of date is subject to the availability of the type of ticket required.
About cancellations and refunds
- Machu Picchu Terra will only make cancellations and refunds of the tickets purchased on our platform.
- Ticket cancellations are requested with a minimum anticipation of 72 hours before the date of entry to Machu Picchu stated on the ticket. Last minute cancellations are not accepted.
- The cancellation proceeds only at the request of the Client and in writing by email, the Client must pay a penalty for it. The distribution of the cancellation is as follows:
- Return to Customer: 65% of the amount paid.
- Penalty: 35% of the amount paid.
- Cancellations of previously modified tickets are not accepted.
- The refund of the cancellation will be made within a maximum period of up to 48 hours before the date of entry to Machu Picchu listed on the ticket. The refund is made through the same means by which the payment was made.
- If the respective payment of the reservation has been made and there is no availability of income by the requested date, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.
About discounts for minors and students
- Children under 8 years of age freely enter the citadel of Machu Picchu. It must be accredited with your identity document.
- Minors, between 8 and 17 years old, access a reduced rate of the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu. For this, the minor’s condition must be accredited with the child’s identity document (passport, identification document, DNI, etc.). It is essential that a copy of the child’s identity documents be sent to the email info@machupicchuterra.com; after making the reservation, to verify its condition.
- University students from anywhere in the world will be able to access a reduced rate of the Entrance Ticket to Machu Picchu, for this, such condition must be accredited with the current and current University Card of the university of origin of the student, in addition to an identification document personal (passport, DNI, etc.). It is essential that a copy of said student documents be sent to the email info@machupicchuterra.com, after making the reservation, to verify their condition.
- University students from anywhere in the world will be able to access a reduced rate of the Entrance Ticket to Machu Picchu, for this, such condition must be accredited with the current and current University Card of the university of origin of the student, in addition to an identification document personal (passport, DNI, etc.). It is essential that a copy of said student documents be sent to the email info@machupicchuterra.com, after making the reservation, to verify their condition.
- The university card that accredits the condition of the student as such, must contain the following information: name of the university, name of the student, photograph of the student, current effective date printed.
- The reduced rate for students does not apply to postgraduate students, masters, or doctorates.
Confidentiality of information
Machu Picchu Terra ensures the confidentiality of the data entered by the Client at the time of making his reservation, of the data provided in the payment transaction and of the documents sent to our email. These will be used solely and exclusively for the acquisition of the Entrance Ticket to Machu Picchu on behalf of the Client before the Ministry of Culture of Peru.
Release of liability
- Machu Picchu Terra is not responsible if the data provided by the Client is not the same as the passport, DNI or University Card. The Machu Picchu ticket is nominal and non-transferable.
- Machu Picchu Terra, is not responsible for problems with the train service, transport bus services and shuttle buses to the Inca city, whether for delays, mechanical damage, cancellations for weather or other reasons. The companies that provide this service are responsible for it.
- Machu Picchu Terra has no control over weather events, natural disasters or social conflicts that could prevent their arrival in the Inca city of Machu Picchu. In case it has been affected by any of these fortuitous events Machu Picchu Terra will only make the refund of the amount of the commission value that we charge, the base price of the ticket must be assumed and reimbursed by the entity responsible for them, which is the Ministry of Culture of Peru.
- Machu Picchu Terra, is not responsible for the deterioration, partial or total loss of your luggage.
- Machu Picchu Terra, is not responsible for the transit of the Client within the archaeological sites of Machu Picchu.
- The Client who is unable to visit the archaeological site and fails to communicate in a timely manner, or carry out any formalities, will lose all rights to the entry ticket, with no refund corresponding to Machu Picchu Terra.
