  • Take an amazing visit to Churup, the lagoon of the 7 colors of the white mountain range. The tour begins with the pick-up of the tourist from the door of their hotel at 9:30 am in the city of Huaraz. Through a trip through the white mountain range we will appreciate incredible landscapes. Then there is a 3-hour walk to Churup lagoon, located at 4,450 meters above sea level. There we can appreciate a unique landscape in Peru. After that we will return on foot to the camp to begin the return trip to Huaraz. The tour ends at approximately 7 pm. Includes pickup, transportation, guide, entrance fees and return to Huaraz. Does not include lunch.

Itinerary

  • The tour begins with the pick-up of the visitor from the door of their hotel in the city of Huaraz (3,052 meters above sea level) at approximately 9:30 in the morning.
  • Then, aboard a tourist transport, we will travel through the Huaylas alley towards the town of Yupa. Along the route we will appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the white mountain range.
  • In the town of Yupa we will enter the Huascarán National Park. From there we will walk through the Churup ravine, located at 4,450 meters above sea level. The route is one of the most challenging in the white mountain range. In total, 3.5 kilometers are traveled in the outward section and another 3.5 kilometers in the return section. The roads are ascending so the route takes approximately 3 hours. However, along the way the visitor will appreciate the beautiful Andean geography with streams, mountains, waterfalls and the traditional flora and fauna of the place (vizcachas, icchu, horses and more).
  • Once at the Churup lagoon we will appreciate, always in the company of our professional guide, a lagoon of picturesque colors (especially green and turquoise) under high snow-capped mountains such as the Churup snow-capped mountain (5,493 meters above sea level). Of course we will have time to take spectacular photos, rest, enjoy a snack or lunch (not included in the tour) and answer any questions with the professional guide.
  • The return route follows the same path as the outward leg. This one is easier as it is mostly downhill. Once in the town of Yupa we will board the tourist transport that will take us back to the city of Huaraz. The tour ends with the return to the visitor’s hotel in the city of Huaraz at approximately 7 pm.
