  • The Aymara Route tour offers an immersion into the rich culture and history of the Puno region. This half-day tour includes visits to emblematic sites such as the Inka Uyu Fertility Temple, the mystical Aramu Muro with its rock-carved gateway, the ancient Chullpas of Molloco, the stunning Andean Waru Waru fields, and the town of Chucuito. This is the experience

  • The Aymara Route experience is an immersion in the history and mysticism of the Puno region. It begins with a trip from the city to the Chullpas de Molloco, a funerary complex that reflects the influence of the Inca and Lupaca cultures in the region. Afterward, we’ll head to the Waru Warus, a marvelous Inca agricultural laboratory. The next stop is Amaru Muro, where we’ll see a mystical site with a door carved into an immense rock. The next stop is Chucuito, where we can see a monument that serves as a sundial. Finally, we’ll head to the famous fertility temple called “Inka Uyu.” With spectacular landscapes and a spiritual atmosphere, this route is ideal for those seeking a connection with Andean history and worldview.

Itinerary

  • 08:00 hrs – Start of the tour and visit to the Chullpas de Molloco
  • The tour begins with pickup from their hotel or from Puno’s Plaza de Armas. From there, we head to the Chullpas de Molloco, located in the Acora village south of Puno.
  • Visit of the Andean Waru Warus
  • Our next stop is a 15-minute drive away. During our visit to the Waru Warus, we’ll be able to see agricultural fields that served as laboratories. These fields are circular with five rings surrounding them.
  • Departure to Aramu Muro
  • We continue our road trip to Aramu Muro, also known as Wilca Uta, the mystical gateway. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. During the trip, we will cross high Andean landscapes, with views of hills, rock formations, and small rural communities.
  • Exploring Chucuito and the Temple of Fertility
  • As our final destination, we’ll visit Chucuito, approximately a 20-minute drive away. Here we’ll visit the famous Temple of Fertility. We’ll also have lunch (lunch not included).
  • Return to Puno
  • After exploring Chucuito, we begin the return trip to Puno, enjoying incredible landscapes during the return trip.
  • 16:00 hrs – End of the tour
  • Arrival in Puno and transfer of participants to their hotel or to the Plaza de Armas, thus concluding this enriching cultural and mystical experience.
